The stock coil on my T-2 seems to have problems. Dime at 7 inches when maxed out, and the display does not lock on coins at all..I sent it in.. This is not a warranty claim, since I am the third user,.. So, I pay for repairs if that is possible. In the event the coil can't be repaired, I'll need to get a new one. My options are another new coil,or a 12 by 10 SEF coil.. Frankly. I am so new to this unit that I can qualify for DUMMY status. My hunting is coins and artifacts that have some depth to them..............So, if you were in the same shoes, what would you opt for? Many Thanks for your replies :hello:Cordially Nad

you cant beat a properly working stock coil on the t2 or f75!!!!!!!!!!! there are good reports on sef coils for some models,( i have one on my excal ) but not so good for t2 and f75. stick with the stock coil!
