✅ SOLVED Tag for what??

Found this thin stamped aluminum tag with the number 3 and a hole in the middle.
It measures 1 1/2" across and looks like it was nailed to something.

Any ideas what it may have come off of ??

Possibility was attached to a wooden fence post as to the thickness and length of the post.

I have seen tags like that on telephone poles.

I looked at a few poles and saw similar tags.
