I Googled 204R Pittsburgh and found that the 204th artillery regiment mustered out of Pittsburgh. On rare occasion (maybe 2 or 3 items a year) I find CW attributed items in my area. This is sort of wishful thinking, but could this tag be associated with this CW Regiment? The center of the star looks like it had something soldered to it at one point, different type of brass.

I don't see a Connection between the Upside Down Pentagram & the Military,
It's a Pretty High Number for Much Else though.

However My guess Something Oval was definitely Soldered in there.
Perhaps a Business Name,.
I'd definitely Doubt the Tool Tag idea Because of the sign, even if Baphomet is not the intention
of the Symbol in this case.. And because of the R

A Person may have 204 Tools Hanging in a Shop.

But 204 A's, 204 B's Etc to the point through the alphabet of needing a 204 R Tool ?

I Think Cow, Dog or other animal Tag would be out Also.
again the Star & the R are Probably important.

The original goat pentagram first appeared in the book La Clef de la Magie Noire by French occultist Stanislas de Guaita, in 1897. This symbol would later become synonymous with Baphomet, and is commonly referred to as the Sabbatic Goat. Samael is a figure in Talmudic lore, and Lilith is a female demon in Jewish mythology. The Hebrew letters at the five points of the pentagram spell out Leviathan, a mythic creature in Jewish lore. This symbol was later adapted by the Church of Satan in 1969 and officially named the Sigil of Baphomet.

yours does appear to predate 1969 & Possibly even 1897.

I suppose it Could be Jewish
