Can anyone read what it says?
I find it really cool and thought it might be fun to share.

Not expensive at all. It was in a bag as they do. I think it was 5$ .
These globes caused quite a sensation recently.
If I sell it ,it may be the only one available on the market at the moment.
I had it listed but recently decided to up the price.. how much would you sell one for? Lol...

What causes you to say that?

Here’s a similar one said to be from the UK and made in 1970:

I don’t believe that to be correct though. There is a manufacturer (although it may perhaps not be the only one) in India who currently sells them for 285 rupees ($3.40)

Very interesting thanks for sharing.
So this example isn't as unique as I had hoped.
When did they start making these. ?
Maybe the ones you share are modern reproductions though.?
The corners seem whack not sharp like mine.
I found evidence of these from Japan and from Hongkong...

You asked what causes me to say that.

Well videos on YouTube and tiktok.
Seems to have contributed to more modern conspiracy theories about Tartaria.

I look and I look and I still don't see any similar for sale. Except for that India website. Wich I am starting to think is rather suspicious.
I have had photos stolen from my unique listings before. And found my unique objects for sale by others.. weird thing that happens...

It's the only one I find on eBay or in Canada. Really not any examples I can find anywhere. Would be interesting to see if someone buys one from your link..

I would think probably in the 1970s at the earliest. A bit of research might establish whether the map design of the globe is taken from an early real map. Lucite/perspex and analagous materials used to encase these globes didn't appear until the 1920s and weren't commercialised until the 1930s.

You asked what causes me to say that.

Well videos on YouTube and tiktok.
Seems to have contributed to more modern conspiracy theories about Tartaria.

The conspiracy theories are nonsense. From Wiki:

Tartary or Tartaria is a historical name for Central Asia and Siberia. Ignorance surrounding Tartary's use as a place name has spawned pseudohistorical conspiracy theories including ideas of a "hidden past" and "mud floods". Such theories assert that Tartary (or the "Tartarian Empire") was a lost civilization with advanced technology and culture. This ignores the well-documented history of Asia, which Tartary refers to. In the present day, the Tartary region covers a region spanning from central Afghanistan to northern Kazakhstan, as well as areas in present Mongolia, China and the Russian Far East in "Chinese Tartary".

1970s seems about right with the Ukraine example

Maybe. The seller says it's from the United Kingdom, not Ukraine. I would think that's where he acquired it, but not where it was made and that the date is probably guesswork.

I'd really like to know what is said on it and what language?

I have no idea. It reads as gibberish to me but I wouldn't rule out it being copied from an authentic attribution on an early map/globe in some obscure Asiatic language.

I don't see anything suspicious about the Indian vendor and I would say you're overthinking this.

Not trying to spread or debate the conspiracy.
Just cool that I found one.
The mudflood stuff around the world is a bit much. But the hidden history part does interest me.
I overthink many things. Gift and a curse.
India kraft one Still looks suspicious to me, I wouldn't trust it , but you never know.
To me it's worthy of thinking about.
You gave some good info. Thanks. I'd like to see the original they got this map from.
I found this one today when looking.
Very similar but more modernish and less detailed.

Nice finally figuring out how to quote properly... (Deleting stuff from an ongoing reply still tricky.)

Would be cool to one day have all the info on these.
