I never used it but i like to update to the newer detectors i feel that the older ones could not give me all they did when they were new. And if i use a older one i feel short changed at times. So i will not use the older ones any more unless it is one that was mine and i know what it did and what it will do now. ==Jim==

It was and can still be a really good machine. Not a Bounty Hunter though. This was a true Technetics. Even the Panasonic rechargable set were all matched cells.
Switches were rubber booted which I seem to remember caused some problems as the resistance on the rubber could shift the switch back.
If you see one I would try it and if it works O.K. buy it.
The only worry is that you are unlikely to be able to get it repaired and those that have them tend to hang on to them so you can't expect to pick one up for spares easily.
