I had to relocate down to Santa Clara this week due my wife's 4th cancer surgery. She can only take so much visiting so I brought my beeper to maybe try some new locations. Today I got a few hours to work a local park found nothing but coins, pennies and nickels but the park seemed pretty clean of pull tabs and aluminum. Nothing old. Spotted a picnic area while walking out, so I plan on going out again and work that location. Nice to find a place that is not buried by aluminum gum wrappers and pull tabs, but that tells me this is a newer park.
Santa Clara is a pretty old spot historically but it has mostly all been built over a couple of times.
I had plans to work some of the big spots up in the hills to the West, but they turned out to all be state parks, and therefore no detecting allowed.
Bummer.
Gonna be down here til next week so if anyone is nearby maybe we can hook up and do some beeping.
