We really have run out of options & Dad & I tried for 3.5 hours on the edge of 2 fields we haven't done yet. The signs were bad, no pottery or lead At least we learnt something, even if a negitive result.

You ought to turn on your TV sometime and really view another person(s) meaning of the words "Terrible Day" .
To me looks like you've had a "A Pleasent Day" and a nice experience. .
