I dug this up today on a ranch that was on the Chisholm trail. I have been trying to date it, but I
nit find one like it. Anyone know how old it is?
There are no identifying marks. Thanks!

The origins of enamelware go back to the 1700's but it wasn't until 1889 that Carl Vollrath patented a way of producing enamelware with a "mottled or pleasingly-speckled appearance."

Too bad it wasn't filled with coins. It is a very cool find.
