The dredge that is ::)

I went back to the pea gravel park from last time ( http://forum.treasurenet.com/index.php/topic,162638.0.html ) and continued the search. The first old thing that was sucked from the river bed was this bullet. I'm not an expert, so, I would like an ID. Then, I got a 1941 wheat, and, then an Indian Head! Unfortunately, it was soooo crusty that I took drastic measures to clean it. First, I used hydrogen peroxide, which didn't do much. Then I used vinegar and salt, which did nothing. So I had to use a hammer to break most of the crust off, then a small screwdriver to do the rest. She isn't pretty, but she has a date- 1880! I can't wait to see what I pull out next 8)

next time try a propane torch
