I Finally got to Meet up with DKinPA Today.
Dave Showed up at the Truck Stop, Just as I was Heading
out the door.

First Place we went was a Stone Foundation in the Woods.

5 Memorial pennies, all look Burnt, all date in the 70's

and this SMOKES Pouch, No goodies in it.

I found a What-Is-It ?

Could it be part of a Pocket Watch ?

it measures 2" across

one side is Gold the other (Inside) is Brass

next we went to a Church site & searched there for an hour or so.

here I found a live 22 long shot. it has a U on bottom

and a LIVE bottom says: 32 SPL U.M.C. REM

As you can see it was hit by a lawnmower. the powder was still in it & dry.

My only other finds today were alot of Trash,

a 96 Memorial & 1968-S & 1964 Nickels.

Was fun day tho, as I said, I got to meet & search with DK

We got to talking today About that it Probably Looks like every time I go Out I find Nice old Coins.

It's Just that When I go out and Don't Find something Cool, I don't Post I figured I'd Break the Habbit for once :P

Plus I got to Show DK my Museum today Too

Spend a day on the beach sweating finding 100's of bottle caps, pull-tabs, and .32 cents in change..

You did better than i did! I can't go mding in our yard because its to dry out and my parents dont like me digging up the grass because it dies. Then again i always have to a wide area to find my coin...

Hey c'mon Jeff, don't be too hard on yourself!!!! Remember my coin count for the day was zero......which happened to match the number of exciting signals I hit all day. But.. that was all secondary for me today because I learned alot about how to analyze an old home site in the woods and had a great time just listening to your research knowledge.

Thanks again for the invite to go along today. And by the way, for the rest of the TNET forum members, if you ever get a chance to see the Jeff museum take the offer, the man has found more of EVERYTHING than you can imagine. So....Jeff, maybe you want to take back that "I'm not Amazing" thing until we can all show off as many finds as you can.

Don't get down Jeff,

I think we all have those days.

But if you think of it in another way.

Your just one step closer to going out and finding something better the next time.

Your a good treasure hunter.

It may not be the ammount of finds. It's the consistency of it. I can go out find 20 old coins in one outing.

Then go out and get 2. As long as I'm still getting them I'm happy.
