That's one big Pumpkin

I took the family to the state fair in Hutchinson, Ks and came across this pumpkin.
It was the grand prize winner and came in at 652.7 lbs.
the winner from last year was over 900 lbs

I also captured these photos of a sculpture made entirely of butter

Re: That's one big Pumpkin

I just finished speaking to a lady from the fair board, she informed me that they reuse the butter for a different sculpture in future years. they reuse the butter for 7 years and then it is disposed of in the local landfill

:o :o What in the world would a person do with all that pumpkin?

Make PIES Cyn, make lots o' PIES! :tongue3:

BTW...the winner at the Tennessee State Fair came in at 1032 pounds. Saw it last week but figured nobody wanted to see a pic of a pumpkin that didn't look like a "Charlie Brown" pumpkin. ::)
