I went to my "zippity-doo-dah" park today for a short constitutional.
Haven't been here for a while so thought I'd check to see if the new crop came up yet.

Sadly, the answer was no. ;)

2015 (655).jpg
I got my usual 2 bucks or so.
2015 (656).jpg
Fishy has a new toy.
2015 (657).jpg
Blingie has a new shiny-shiny.

The ring, (and yes, believe it or not, that's a ring!), is non-magnetic but
I don't have any more acid with which to test. :dontknow:

Still, not too bad, considering the day's reputation.

11-13-15 !

Look up the next time 3 consecutive odd numbers represent the date. LOL
Triskaidekaphobiacs rejoice!!! We made it! :)

Thanks for peeking!

Nice walk yet again Gary. Looks like the item with the " W " is Wrangler probably? Maybe you could try the old moisture and aluminum foil test until you get some more acid? I am assuming you think it may be silver.

Yeah, the "W" is just somebody's snap. Fishy don't care. ;)

The ring melts ice like a hot cattle prod but it looks a little strange to me. It's solid enough, doesn't look like plating. Looks like it was cast. There's a line all the way around the middle on the inside and the metal looks sort of burnished in spots. Sort of like what metal looks like when heated a lot. Foil was no help. No markings but it's possible this is an old, homemade ring. Same area the 1812 came from.

Anyway, I've already spent way too much effort trying to figure it out. A plain ring, this small is just not worth much effort. LOL

I believe the W is for Wilson. Hows the weather south of the Mason Dixon? 42, cold and blustery here with a little snow rain mix, today,:BangHead: tonight, :BangHead: and tomorrow. :BangHead: Sunday may be an unseasonably warm 61 and sunny 8-)

Know where the days (Friday 13th) reputation came from?
A bunch of Knights Templar leaders were tortured and killed on Friday the 13th somewhere between 1100 and 1300 I'm told.
The lizard blingy thingy-------------------what is it and is that a ring on its front leg?

Triskaidekaphobiacs are those who are deathly afraid of Triscuits. They abhor the woven wheat cracker. So sad. On a better note Whadi, that was a great hunt, the ring does appear to be old. Sub 8-)

The weather is holding fairly well here. For now. Some rain, some strong winds, but mostly warm enough if dressed right. What I really need is to stop being lazy and actually do some research. LOL

Blingie came along on one of my hunts a long time ago. I liked his first appearance in my posts so much that I've adopted
him as a mascot. And yes, those are some sort of lil silver rings/beads. He just HAS to try to wear EVERY piece of bling I
find! LOL

I can't say it either, just know how to spell it. LOL

Good one Sub!
The ring does give me an impression of old silver. :dontknow:
