Just curious for information from the pros of electrolysis on here. What is the best anode for cleaning old iron objects? I have used electrolysis once and used a piece of galvanized metal which seemed to work pretty well. Anything else? I have heard of the dangers of using stainless, but what about aluminum? I have plenty of aluminum junk metal.

Thanks in advance and HH,

Jared

The best anode I have found is another piece of steel like a old brake rotor, piece of pipe, ect. I tried using a skill saw blade but it did not work as well. I think the alloys in the blade are the reason.
