If you have a cat in a box, you will not be 100% sure if the cat is dead or alive until the moment you open the box and look at the cat. This proves the theory that the cat is both dead and alive at any given moment in time, up to the moment you look at it. Then it becomes either dead or alive. No, really, think about it. Well, at least that's what the leading theoretical physicists are saying. Such a strange lot.

Theres a way around that without looking. Punch a small hole in the box and then stick your finger in the hole. If you dont feel the pain of your finger being shredded by claws or being chewed on then your best bet is the cat is dead. ;D
