Well,I made the trip to the Old Timer's Association 101 Museum today in Ponca City,OK.They were happy I wasn't asking any money for the 101 tag I found. They have never seen one before and are starting research on it.Took my pic, made me a full member of the association and it will be in their Oct newsletter. The tour of the museum and mansion was fantastic.Hit two casinos, one good, one bad, enough said.700 miles today and I'm tired.

Fantastic Warsaw. I would like to see that newsletter when it comes out. Congradulation's...Right now I'm working on the two pieces you gave me that looks like gun barrels. Maybe I'll know something about them soon.

Thank you,Boyce. If those turn out to be gun barrels,I'm going to strangle Lance for not going back and digging there some more, especially since he found a piece of smoothe wood and tossed it away.

So your a 101 member and it only took you 101 years to graduate from there. Well congratulations on a neat find. I hope you enjoyed the trip. Now you and Evy have something in common besides detecting.

Take care

Warsaw I got the pipes cleaned enough to tell a little about them. Not Gun Barrels. The short pipe is just a piece of cut pipe. The long Pipe is another story. I really don't know what it is. Look at the pictures, and you will see there is a small hole in the side of the pipe a couple of inches from the end. Each end of the pipe is plugged with a solid steel plug. I thought gun barrel when I saw the hole, but the plugs gave me different thoughts. Just guessing. Maybe a pipe bomb of some kind. Put powder in it, and place a fuse in the little hole. I don't know. Maybe someone else can make more of it than me.

Burdie, I drove back to Enid, OK last Thur and will be going to Wakita, OK to see my 90+ year old uncle.

This weekend was the celebration of the Oklahoma Land Rush anniversary. It was really something to realize that not only did my ancestors help settle Caldwell, KS and Lyons, KS....but both sets of grandparents and great grandparents on my mom's side made the Land Rush. If you go back to my posting a bit back, I always thought it was neat that my great grandfather left one claim that 2 people claimed they were the "owners".......and they were squabbling over it.....so he left them there squabbling and went on to another claim miles away...........and set claim to land there. Funny thing is ......... he actually got the better land. LOL

The Enid parade was neat because they had some covered wagons that maybe WSD might have ridden in..... LOL ::)

I head back for Texas on Tues.

I did get the bad news that the place in Bastrop, TX where my nephew is getting married on Oct 29.....was burned to the ground by the Texas wildfires. But, they were very lucky to get another site that wasn't hit by the fires.

I know that when Darrell and I were returning from CTH4, we could see the smoke all over the areas.

Oh man, sorry to hear about the fires. We had our share too here in OK. A good piece of land down by Okla City burned 15 homes. We have had a few more lesser fires all around and for awhile the horizon was obscured by smoke in every direction. But we sure had some pretty sunsets all purple and red caused by the smoke in the air. Monty

Congratulations on having relatives in the Run I also had one. We do not own the land any more. Give me in print your relative in Caldwell. I will contact Tuesday the grounds keeper.
