It may seem like I find a bunch of pristine things and no junk and pulltabs like the rest of ye. But I do daily, but why make it a long post about a pulltab?? Here is my junk of unknown from earlier. 20160628_205006.jpg

What looks like a dog leash part, a bottle with an un-uniform opening on top and a gear of somesort

I'm certain you dig tons of trash like the rest of us. It hard to find exciting relics on every hunt. The piece to the far right looks like a wick knob from an old oil lamp/lantern. They sometimes have patent dates on them. Might want to clean it up and have a look. HH my friend!

Just a sample of what my wife (KyDigNQueen) and I have pulled from a old homestead site located on our farm. 0502161610.jpg

Yep, looks just like my hunts. I try to make the best of it all. Recycle the aluminum, pot metal, copper and brass for cash.........take the plastics and glass to the local recycle center........don't have the space to accumulate ferrous metals, so I place them and the loose paper, et cetera in trash barrels or dumpsters at the parks where they get plucked.

Its all worth $$, even the trash.

One reason to post the trash is so those starting out know this is the norm, they are not the only ones finding tons of trash and few of the good stuff.

Yes, MsBB! I admit I was a little disheartened at first, but now I'm hooked ;)

From brass keys to copper tubing,, it's all good.
I always get my share of trash depending on the machine I'm using
I will also from time to time,, deliberately dig me some trash to see what's in the ground. Certain types of iron will help identify an old house location. Yep,, a heavy concentration of trash out in the middle of nowhere can help identify a long ago forgotten home of early settlers.

The first item is a horse harness buckle with broken iron pin.
