I got up at 5:00 AM this morning as usual and noticed that over night the heat had kicked on. So I pulled on a jacket and went outside to get the newspaper and it felt pretty darn cold. I took my wife to the doctor a little while later and could hardly see out of the windshield. So I turned on the wipers to clear off the mist and it was ice! The weather report on TV said it was 42 degrees but that was at the airport weather station. This is the first time I can remember ice being on the "pumpkin" this early in the fall. In this locale we usually don't get cold enough to freeze before around Haloween. Danged global warming is at it again! My son is now living just outside Casper, Wyoming (just moved there) and he told me they had some light snow flurries one day not long ago. Monty
