Went out yesterday to enjoy the weather at a local old house across from where i live. My fiancee and i setup in different directions her towards barn area and i towards foundation. Hunting around where i thought was the front porch i hit on a few pennys and alot of trash and getting stuck in the tall grass.Hour or so later i kept getting a weird signal, thus not wanting to dig it, but i did and it looks like im now part of the Junior G man team,:laughing9:. Spent an hour or so more on the property and found one wheat 1958, few dimes (clad) and few Quarters (clad). The badge cleaned up nice with olive oil as you can see, The pin on the back is off but what can i expect for being in the ground for so long, surprised the badge was in such good shape. All in all it was a great day for only a few hours.

I have one of those I bought at a convention. Mine is in original condition. The story the vendor told me is that an older gentleman died and they found hundreds of these in his attic. The story goes that he made them by hand for the FBI back in the thirties for 1and a half cents each. Mine is in a shadowbox with some other badges. Awesome find my friend. Just thought you might want to know. Can't say for sure yours is one of these but looks alot like mine.

That is a cool badge! Did the pin hold up? I found a Gman badge yesterday from 1938 Germany, has a swastika on it, LOL. HH, Mike

Not sure if its brass or copper, But im sure back in its bay it was called Copper just like the slang back then. Not going to try and polish it up anymore so i guess i'll just call it a Keeper, lol
