Two knives I made. The one on the left was ground from a file, with a buffalo horn, deer antler, and sunken river wood handle. The one on the right I forged from a bearing race, it has a micarta handle.

Great thread. I got my first Case around 7-8 yrs old ('58). A Peanut. My dad sold them in our grocery store so I got to pick. I can't remember a time in his life that he did not have a Stockman in his pocket. Wish I had them now. I gave away his WWII bayonet, a Kabar, lot's of Case knives, the Ken Onion I detected on the beach not long ago. But my biggest mistake was to give away my Puma White Hunter, in the original wooden box. Now days my favorites are my rosewood Opinel and this one:

Carried this for many years working the ER. Sometimes, in a hurry, you need more than a pair of scissors, LOL.

Great assortment of reasons why people enjoy knife collecting so much fun And than as if you need another reason there are a ton of talented people that make them for the joy they get making them Keep them pictures coming If I have time I will get some pictures of some of my fixed blade collection

You haven't held a knife until you get a hold of a GiantMouse.

Mmmmm…MAGNACUT…absolutely love it! I have yet to purchase a GiantMouse knife, although it might happen sometime in the future, as I have a bit of an addiction!😬🙏🏼 Probably a Biblio or the Iona….although I like the blade on the Iona more than the handle… Some of the knives vaguely remind me Spyderco knives, which I think are decent knives as well. Definitely like the powdered metals, S35VN, Elmax, M390, etc… All great steels and all at the top end of cost😵‍💫 of course…with Magnacut seemingly being the best. Those are the kinds of knives that if you care for them, they will be something to pass on to a younger generation…. “Legacy Knives” 🔪⚔️🗡️

Some bought, some gifted, some inherited. Pocket knives are cool, I feel like I don’t see many knife collections on here.

This was my Dads little Case XX someone told me they call it the "Peanut" dont know if thats right lol. Folded it measures 2 3/8 inch.

I’ve not seen a Case Peanut with that blade configuration. What is stamped on the blade base? That would tell me a lot about it. Nice knife, for sure👍🏼
Your tang stamp should start with a 62. The 6 indicates a “jigged” handle material and the 2 denotes the number of blades. The final digits will tell the “type”: peanut, jack, trapper, barlow, etc. It may also show a CV which denotes chrome vanadium (as opposed to stainless steel, Damascus, etc.). If possible, please post a photo of the tang stamp.

I believe it is a peanut, after the latest photos. I looked at the first picture incorrectly. If a peanut the tang stamp would begin with 6220
