Hi all, Shhhhh Today was a scorcher 103 f and humid as the clouds build. Energy levels drop after a few days of this kind of heat. Yep was not going to dig another hole this weekend , couple hours late yesterday was enough. I was driving back from doing the old man's garden the other day , i noticed the last old Victorian Era weather-board house was being cut up into section and being relocated. Once when i was a small boy this street was full of these grandish high gable roofed weather-boards . Often use to get taken by Gran to the play ground at the lake. Some of these houses had lovely gardens and coloured stain glass windows. Over the last 40 years the good ones were slowly relocated and the rest fell into ill-repair and were destroyed. Being close to the main road the land became valuable and only modern concrete retail and warehouses exist today. But on a good note many whole areas of the town are protected by strict herritage laws. [that includes trees] I believe still as much as 47 % of the buildings in the older areas remain. You can clearly see how the house was cut into sections and only the later add on like the kitchen wash house and bath room remain. Well just had a wonder around for an hour and spotted a couple of keepers.
