The last person receiving a pension from the Civil War just died this Sunday

Hard to believe but true. Irene Triplett, aged 90 died Sunday. Her dad, Mose Triplett first served in the Confederate army, then in the Union army. Irene was born when he was 83, to his second (much younger) wife. Irene received $73.13 per month for her father's service in the Union army. RIP Irene.
