The life of a forum admin/moderator

A good read, what seems to be missing is one important fact.

Most admins/moderators cherish the friendships they have made and hope to make, the very last thing
they ever want to do is "pull rank". Removing or editing posts can be the single hardest thing any forum
admin/moderator wants or needs to do but there are those times, for the overall health of the boards as
a whole, it needs to be done.

These decisions are never taken lightly as there is much to be lost, not least of which is friendships forged
over many years, please try to keep this in mind should anybody have a post edited or removed.

(I speak from ongoing experience)

I'd always take anything I post and get pulled as a learning experience and try to moderate my sometimes brainy-as-a-bag-of-rocks intellect. But that's just me.
