We've all seen LRL advertising. We've seen its distinguishing characteristics which reveal that the manufacturer knows the product is bogus, and should be marketed to gullibillies and most certainly not to people who expect products not to be bogus.

If it ain't bogus, it ain't an LRL. If it works, nobody calls it an LRL.

Here's the advertisement you never saw.

LONG RANGE TREASURE LOCATING DEVICE THAT REALLY WORKS!

Notice the admission that devices referred to as "long range locating" are widely recognized as fraudulent. Obviously, whatever follows has to address the justifiable skepticism.

Our product operates on the XYZ principle (links). In the past, this principle was a mere laboratory curiosity, but our company has developed it into a practical locating technology by doing A, B, and C. We can't tell you everything since some of the design information is proprietary. But at least if you are familiar with this field you can see that what we say we've accomplished is at least theoretically possible.

Since what we have actually works, we want you to know that it does. To that end we've put examples of the product into the hands of independent evaluators who have put their names to their reports (links).

Our product should in no way be confused with dowsing. Although skill is required to get the best results from our product (as with any human operated apparatus), the apparatus itself does the detecting. Detection does not require direct operator input, its autonomous operation can be demonstrated with the setup on page X (see also video link).

Here's what the thing looks like, here's a description of the basic capabilities and limitations, and here's a list of potential applications of this amazing technology.

That is what you've never seen with LRL's-- a manufacturer who's got a newfangled locating technology that really works (i.e., isn't bogus), and therefore wants to be taken seriously by people who are serious about how they spend their money.
