I took the dogs for a walk today out to the old coal mine site east of me. Along the old R R grade I find only rusted relics and old busted bottles. Just about 5 feet off the grade at the edge of the field, something catches my eye. It's some kids long lost old latticino marble. It's a bit beat up from all the years it had been plowed over, but when it's wet it's a thing of beautiful... The prairie dogs all came out see my cool new find. They were impressed and said that's really sweet.

Love that marble! I guess some of them can be valuable....I had a friend who was detecting in a plowed field, and a kid that he had with him picked up a marble. They knew it was different, so took it to a pawn shop in Lewiston, ID. The dealer offered the kid $50.00 for it, so he sold it and left happy. I wonder how much it was really worth.

I never saw the marble, this was just told to me by my detecting friend and his wife.
