Hi RTR, Rook sees you, I don't know how, but there's no sneaking up on him!

Rook I hope you find a very large gold ring to make your feelings feel better, and the rest of us jealous.
Remember, we want pics!

Msbeepbeep,

My wife was selling some of her paintings at a craft show yesterday so she bought some home made samosas.
I'll just cook up some greens and maybe slice a couple of oranges to have on the side.

I'll dig up a recipe for samosas shortly.

What'cha cooking up today Bill?

I haven't found gold in about 3 years so I guess I'm due. The trouble with finding gold is you just have to dig about all foil numbers. I hate it till you hit pay dirt.:laughing7:

rook,

Pretty much all my gold rings rang up as pull tabs at least on my machine. I've probably dug about 30 gold rings all land detecting and enough pulltabs and screw tops to fill a dumpster.....:laughing7::laughing7::laughing7:

The last gold ring I found was white gold, it rang up as a silver dime because of silver metal mixture.

The yellow gold does read aluminum / pull tab, but there is something just a little different about the tone, and it does depend on a lot of variables .

I'm hoping to see you post a large gold ring Rook, maybe some sparkling stones in it...a ruby or two...
No pressure here, huh Rook?:laughing7:

My go to gold machine is the White M6 not listed in my profile. I've found most of my gold with it. All have rang up 18-22 on that machine. All 10k to 14k. That's usually foil on that machine. The display even rings it up foil. But if it's a really clean foil sound, book it. My best #6 size band rang up 20.

rook,

This was one of the best signal in the pulltab range 10 grams or so of 18k men's wedding band about 6" deep near a park bench.

I do agree on the something different about the tone,I reckon if one were to reverse the crap to gold ratio(20,000 gold rings to 1 pull tab)one just might know what that difference is.:laughing7:

Pulltabs on my machines ring up in the high 20's usually around nickel. Gold in my soil is in around foil. I've dug a few in parks where the number is low 30's. Most of my machines run 13 to 15 kHz except for the Deus which I run the Hi Fi coil in 28 to 54 kHz. I'm assuming hotter soil rings gold different. We are in mild mineralization here.

I've had my M-6 nine years now with well over 6000 hrs. with MANY gold and silver finds along with relics.
