Havnt herd from the TV guys this week.....maybe it's the old Hollywood brush off ? Well I have been busy down south exploring a certain key that is inshore of our wreck site.
found a few pieces of wreck wood that was thrown on shore during hurricane Irma. The sand berm/dune is still like the day after the storm....perfectly groomed from the storm surge. I've got a big piece of timber still on site here....I'll have to go back and trek in a half mile and try and drag it back.....its long and awkward but is related to this piece. Found a shard from another bellermine jug and there were some iron ship spikes too. No coins here yet though.
Check out the square spike holes in the wood.

Nice relics Bart. The square nails must have been there not too long ago if the holes are that neat. Sweet!

Cool finds, bart. Amazing, to me, anyway, that something so old and in the sea waters could still have details preserved like the square holes.
