The Real Deal This Time? Colonial Barrel Tap?

After posting what turned out to be a gas valve in my last post, I started researching old beer barrel taps and came across some photos. I realized I had found one not too long ago and it was in my "whattizit" pile!

Well here it is!

That also looks to be a gas valve.
Sorry, not trying to be a dream-crusher, hopefully someone will correct me.

Neil, You've one NICE spot you have!!! I had one like that from June to Aug.,Sad to say I lost it.Sure did get a lot of 1700's finds though.Keep at it mate,there's untold treasure there!!! God Bless HH Chris

Neil still a gas valve I believe Barrel taps are much larger and the ends where it taps into the keg are either "ribbed" straight or spiraled to hold it in place.

looks like most of what I thought were barrel tap keys are gas valve handles
