Here are the rest of my finds from yesterday, as requested. I included my first 41st button to the right of the one I found yesterday. These are officer's buttons from the 41st of Foot, active in the Great Lakes area 1799-1814ish. The trigger guard has the crossed arrows which I believe signifies friendship found on the Chief grade trade guns. Not sure though, let me know if anyone has more in depth info. A nice shoe? buckle, small trade brooch, lead, tinklers, etc. There is also a nice stirrup in the electrolysis bucket. I checked it a little bit ago, and it looks to be the best preserved iron artifact I have ever found with very little pitting. Another I found previously is in much poorer condition. A button and another item that might help id a current What is it? item got left out. Will get to that later. Good stuff, but kinda afterthought compaed to a half dime!

So do I.

The Buckle is indeed a late 18th-early 19th Century Shoe Buckle.
