Had a good weekend. Found my wedding ring, after 3 years being lost. I knew i lost it close to our drive way. Our drive way is huge by the way :o But, finally, this weekend, i found it. YAhooooooooooooooooo............ was a really nice bleep or beep from the MD. Furthermore, went out to an old armory, found this button, excuse me for the bad quality of pictures by the way. Still learning how to make good close up pics with the macro function. I will post a better pic of the button as soon as i have it all cleaned up and nice and shiny. The button has a crown in the middle and reads Canada on top of the crown and Militia underneath the crown. Did some research and found out that this could be a 1812 button. When they started this Canada Militia to turn volunteers citizens into kinda reserve soldiers to protect Canada against the Americans during the war of 1812. Cool EH..... ;D

Congrats on finding your ring!!! Way to go! Sounds like an awesome button too! You had a great day of finds!

Nan :)

"A toast to MetalGear." I bet that was neat to find after 3 years.

Looks like your using an HP camera

Turn your macro mode on, Turn your flash off, find plenty of natural light and hold your take button down till it auto focus`es.

Nice find`s.

nice find~

Congratulations on finding your ring!! Your wife MUST be relieved. If I lost mine I would be in deep doo-doo. I have been practicing with the macro myself. I suggest standing the coin or button as vertically as possible on its edge and setting the camera on a solid flat surface. This takes the shake out the frame or better still use the timer function using the afore mentioned technique.

Laater...

very nice ring, a real beauty,
Way to go
