The snow has melted & the ground was sticky but not super sticky plus the temperature was much better at just above freezing. Therefore, it was time to grid-on for just over 5 hours. Once again we did twice as well as we expected at this low yield site.

1 Saxon Brooch yet to be IDed, not in the book, I think it will turn of 5th C though!
