Neat watch FOB, are you sure it's his though? :tongue3:

Re: The Undisputable Epshaw Anderson's lost fob collection

I like that fob. I bet the bicycle enthusiasts would go nuts over that one. Sometimes when you put things like that under high magnification, you can make out what model the bike is and possibly date it.
Any maker's mark like Hoag, etc.?
Good luck in your research and nice finds!
Dave.

One of the coolest fobs I've ever seen Mike! The populartity of early vintage motorcycles (motorbikes) is so huge that you can bet this would be a highly sought after collectable. :icon_thumleft:

Thanks John!

I really would like to find the relatives of this man and return it for a keepsake.
I researched and unfortunately about 500 different Anderson's popped up in SC!

And great ID Black sheep. That is a motorcycle

That FOB or medallion is awesome! I have read there is a lot of history around Black Mountain NC, didn't know you were there, guess that explains some of your great finds! HH, Mike

Yes, I love it here. The history is amazing!

The downtown area has many eclectic shops that attract seasonal tourists which is a main staple of its local economy. There are also many quaint bed and breakfasts. The town is near several Christian retreat areas including Ridgecrest and Montreat Conference Center. Singer Roberta Flack, former basketball player Brad Daugherty, and NFL quarterback Brad Johnson, and Roy Williams hail from Black Mountain.

Mike, you might also have the possibility of "E. P. Shaw", from Anderson S.C..

Great looking FOB Mike. One of the neatest I've seen.
I don't know who E.P. Shaw was but I think his brothers name was Rick, and he was always on the move. You remember Rick Shaw don't you? :tongue3: :laughing9:
What is that tube looking thing below the buckle? :icon_scratch:

Who the heck is Epshaw Anderson of South Carolina any way? :dontknow: ;D
I don't know but I sure would like to give his family this. :smileinbox:
He must of vacationed in Black Mountain NC in the day. :walk:

I'd also say it's referring to Anderson, SC...I live there...if I can be of any help, let me know.

Re: The Undisputable Epshaw Anderson's lost fob collection

Are we sure that is a watch fob? My uneducated brain tells me that is a medal (minus the ribbon) that may have been presented to Mr. Shaw for competing/winning an autocycle race.

Anyone?... Buehler?... Buehler?

Re: The Undisputable Epshaw Anderson's lost fob collection

The mixture of upper/lowercase lettering doesn't help much either, does it? The 'ANdERSON' is fairly unimpeachable but the EPShAW is what's throwing us off.

Yes it is! 8) Now if you could find the entries to the autocycle race in Anderson, SC...you might just find 'ole EP listed on there. :icon_thumright:
