Man, this yard is a very old spot as far as town history goes. There was a blacksmith shop back in the 1890's, then was bulldozed and a house built I think in the teens. Then that was bulldozed in the 60's and a new house built. The iron and trash is brutal. I have detected it a few times with not much luck, I think I have pulled only three or four pennies there in the past.

I decided to give the Deus a shot, and I managed to make some finds. The silver dime was fairly deep, and right beside big iron. In the one pic you can see a wheat penny that was right beside a piece of rusty iron. My favourite find today is the McLaughlin Carriage Co emblem.
