I met up with my hunting buddy this morning at the same site that we hunted yesterday to see if we could find some more goodies. He found a Mercury dime and a Rosie. I kept working at it and finally unearthed a 1901 V nickel and 4 wheat pennies, but no silver. I decided to go back over the steep bank that I detected yesterday. Those steep banks aren't easy to detect, but I seem to always find some good finds on them.

Finally, I got a VDI #92 and a high pitched audio response on my MXT Pro. Oh, I just knew that I had a Barber Half under my search coil. I flipped over the plug and saw a large silver rim, but didn't know what it was. I yelled at my hunting buddy to come over see what I found. When I removed enough dirt, we saw it was a Walking Liberty and not a Barber Half. I got cheated again. LOL It's time for one.

I know you're comments are tongue in cheek but a walking liberty half is awesome. I've yet to find a single one. My only half is a Franklin a long time ago. You should be grateful!

Thanks! It's a good feeling to be pretty certain that there's something really good under your search coil before you even dig. I sometimes slow down and take my time so I can make the fun last longer.

I was very happy to find the Walker, but I had high hopes for a Barber Half. I'm due one!

Yeah, I was just kidding! I was one happy camper to find the Walker.

Walkers are always sweet.
Congrats on the big Silver
They sure are!

Love that Walker!
Thanks! I guess someone either sat on or rolled down that steep bank and lost it.

Wow great hunt! [emoji2][emoji106]
Thanks! It was 2 a Aleve day right out of the gate. It's rained today and it will be too wet to go tomorrow, so I'll get a couple of days of rest before heading back out to do some more detecting.

We all would love to be cheated like that.
Thanks! I'm lucky to have some good sites to detect.

Wanting a walker, over here! Nice one!
Thanks! They're easy to find once you get your search coil over one.
