I read somewhere not long ago that some experts don't believe that heat-treated material was intentional. I found these three pieces a couple weeks ago within a few feet of each other and all have been treated, including the core nodule. The point is damaged but has been beveled on heavily on one side of each face. I was thinking Dalton period but am not sure. From what I understand, the heat treat process made the flint easier to work, I was also told that the Paleo Period did not use heat treatment.
