I did a yard hunt, my nephews girlfriends grandparents house. I spent about three hours and found a1954 Washington, 1950 Rosie, six wheats (one is a 1910) a tiny button and a surprise buckle.

My dad used to say it was "powerfully built"
If you spell it phat it means you're super cool. And since there's so much of you that's a whole lot of coolness lol

Nice late 18th century buckle Brad. Sometimes its hard to distinguish between shoe and knee buckles, but the latter were usually smaller and more flat than those for shoes. So I'm leaning more toward yours being a shoe buckle. Nice find regardless.

Easy to tell if it's a shoe or knee buckle by which way the spindle runs. Shoe across the width, knee the length of the buckle. Were you hunting in relic mode.

Not familiar with that setting, are you on ploughed fields or pasture.:dontknow:

It's a program for high iron areas (iron infestation of the soil), I was hunting a yard, someones house yard. A manicured lawn. The house was built in 1920. Before that, lets say the 1700's, I don't know what was there. But I do know there was early colonization in that area.
