Our local metal detecting club had a meeting at Roosevelt Park in Campbell, Ohio. The park has been hunted to death
with people setting their program for silver.....very little of that left.

Outside an old log cabin I found a gold ring............plated. It looked good coming out of the ground!

Then in the same area a massive "diamond array" ring. Man's ring. Costume jewelry again.....darn.

Today I was going to try a different area but remembered that there was a spot I had not done yet.

Out came a 10k man's ring...6g. It has a moose on top with the work "Pap" inscribed.

3 rings out of the dirt within 10 yards of each other. Makes me wonder what was there.

I love my AT Pro with the 6x8 coil. Just awesome in trashy areas.

53 right with the tabs! Maybe that is why the silver seekers passed it over. They don't like digging the tabs when their machine is set for silver.

:hello2: :icon_thumright: Moose ring is groovy - I enlarged for better look. Since you've found 3 rings near each other, possibly people used to pitch horseshoes in this spot! Fling the horseshoe hard, off flies your loose ring! Maybe more golden rings still underground there. HAVE FUN! Andi

I am going to look to see if I can find another area about 40' away with a bunch of pull tabs. If I can then I will crank up the sensitivity and check the area in between. thanks for the tip.
