Had a hour to hunt so I had to go to a close fairly old spot. Got a good solid hit about 5" down and was surprised to see two blue eyes looking up at me. It was a solid brass owl with glass blue eyes. I like getting a weird surprise hunting now and then! :)

I was thinking at 5 " down it must be kinda old ,or buried on porpoise...as i see some of the great stuff found by the guys in Nova Scotia posted on here .

I was guessing 1950's/60's! It was by a old flower garden so that may have been why it got so deep. My wife loves owls so she claimed it. It's about time I brought something back she wanted. It could be a 1700's silver coin and she wouldn't care. :)

Cool find, and something different.
Sure he'll look nice on his new perch.

Nice digs . Thanks for the pics

That is cool!

Love the owl ! really an unusual find - I'd probably find a way to buff that bird up - ask a local jeweler - pretty it up some for the
wife !

Great find. That's something you don't find often.

Sweet decoration there , Congrats !!
