I asked a question on another forum and I just answered my own question. I found this site and it calculates what the money you found was worth when it was minted. For example I just found two Barber dimes (My first by the way) one was 1912 and the other 1914. Today they would be like losing $4.30. I thought it was pretty neat. I bet I would be looking for $5 if I lost it today.

It is worth noting that the buying power of those dimes in theyre day arent quite what the melt value of them are now.

$2.35 each in melt value as of today.

We are at a point in history where the buying power of a silver dime 100 years ago is the same as today.
