I was up and out of the Denver metro this morning a few hours before the sun rose and up at an elevation of over 11'000 ft by 6:45 this morning. This mine I went to is up close to Kite lake in Park county and it was pretty chilly, as the miners said the skiff of snow on the high peaks around the mine is the 4th dusting they've seen this year. After I did what I went up to do, I decided to go over Guanella pass as the beautiful way to go back to all the hustle and bustle of the front range. I'm glad I did and I can say that summer is definitely coming to an end for 2017 by the changing of the aspen leaves I saw just beginning to turn.
