This weekend's Hunt

Called the bank last week and they had already ordered their coins for the week, so no halves. Stopped at 6 banks on Fri. morning and was able to get $260 in handrolled halves. SKUNKED!
Went ahead and got my usual $25 in pennies and got the following:
Wheats: 1939,1941s,1942,1944s,1946(2),1950,1951d,1953s(2),1953d(3),1955d,1956d,1957,1958d. 17 total!
Canadian, 3 total: 1966,1980,1998.

Happy Hunting!

Nice job on the Wheaties. Do you normally get that many in a box?

I bought a penny coin collector book from Barnes & Noble....didn't know what I was getting myself into....it is for 1909-1940......sheeesh!!!

Re: This weekend's Hunt

Usually I average 8-10 wheaties per box. I am finding I get more from the paperwrapped than the plastic wrapped. I don't know why there would be a difference. I am also finding more "S" mint wheaties lately also. A few weeks ago I found a monster box with I believe 48 wheaties in it. I hope these totals hold up for awhile. Going back to get another box tomorrow.

I keep reading the posts you guys have here. I'm about ready to try this stuff myself. Sounds like fun.
