This weekend's nickel & dime boxes

I searched another nickel & dime box today and managed to find some more silver including the oldest dime I've ever found CRHing - a '24 Merc! And it even has a silver edge so I was rather surprised to see it was a Merc because the other Merc's I've found have dark dirty edges. So here's my total finds for my nickel & dime boxes this weekend:

Sat. Dec. 3
Dime box:
'64 Rosie

Nickel box:
1 buffalo - full date '37
2 silver - '43P & '44D
32 (non-silver) pre '60 Jefferson's including a '38, '39, '40s (2), '41s, '42D & a really nice cond. '53S
2 '09P's

Sun. Dec. 4
Dime box:
'24 Merc
'48 Rosie
'90 5 Pence - I found a coin just like this with the same date in the trash at my dump bank a couple of months ago

Nickel box:
'43P silver
21 (non-silver) pre '60 Jefferson's
'75 Canadian nickel nickel - I don't find too many of these

So I found 3 silver dimes, 3 silver nic's & 1 buffalo for the weekend.

At least I managed to find a some silver in each box

Those mercs are beauties, I will never forget finding my first one, and I am sure you won't either! When are your halves coming in? I've got a feeling you'll have some amazing beginner's luck with them!

thanks $$. I've just got 2 String half boxes ordered for Wed. and hopefully every Wed. from now on. I'll try and increase it to 4 boxes a week in Jan. if I can. I ordered a few half boxes a few months ago from this same bank and had some luck with my first box (9 40%'s I think) but I got skunked on my last 2 boxes. But I know that's just how it goes - so I'll just keep at it and hope for the best.
