Pretty decent week in my book... Had about 12-13 skunked boxes. One skunk box had 10 gold halves with a gold ender, no silver. Another box had 4 gold halves with the same stickers/white mildew stuff on it as the other box, had 1 40% in that box though. Box with the rushmore ender was silver skunked.

Totaled (5) 90% and (21) 40%, 10 clad proofs. One of the 90%ers is a 2006 S silver proof!!! My first modern proof. My first and only other silver proof, is a 1970 S.

Never heard of the mount rushmore one before, had gotten a nation of immigrants before, but this one is much better condition, all of my proofs this week were in great condition, much better than usual proof finds.

Found the (diamond?) inside a coin machine today... Its real shiny, and it does cut glass... gonna get it checked out tommorow.

I found a 1987 and wasnt even trying... Went into a pickup bank and picked up a roll of CWR, had 3 real nice rim coins in a row, I popped it open and it was 1987! I normally wouldnt face check, but the 3 in a row just made me curious... Are they really worth anything, or just rare? Ive seen a few posts about them before, but just thought it was people trying to fill books or something.

HH everybody!!

Oh yeah also, the 2 foreign coins were in the same roll... Anyone know about that australian coin, 20 what? It doesnt say lol... I also got a quarter instead of a half in a MWR this week

Nice score. The 1987 is NIFC just like 2002-13.

Good luck on the potential diamond. Looks HUGE in the pic.

Nice score, I love that buffalo ender ;)
I got 2x 1987p halves from a teller tray at my dump bank this week, I thought that was odd, and they were both from philly.

I did find some from 10/12... they just get tossed back, and thinking, i bet he wishes he had the silver that was along side his marked coins lol... Although I have added my name to a few of them so far.

Wow! My wife's ring is 1.3 carrots so I can say with some confidence your looking at two there. Will be very valuable if real. Congrats! Nice silver too.

hah, wouldn't that be nice ;) I doubt the 10/12 half dollar was just put back into circulation... odds are it is a stray that has been circulated quite a bit since October.
There were 60 "3 13" halves put out yesterday totaling 100 total out so far this month.

Nice finds! Congrats on the modern 90%. I found one once - best thing about those is the insanely bright silver edge! Does the diamond have any visible inclusions? If it does, its more likely real. If not, it's either a flawless diamond or a CZ. Also, it won't be scratched at all - diamond is the hardest substance on earth & can only be scratched by another diamond. Hope it's real!

I have no idea what an inclusion is... lol :)

I just looked at it through a cheapo 3x magnifier, it doesnt have any scratches on it that I can tell

Cubans can scratch glass? cause this one did

Inclusions would be any flaws in it. And the glass scratch test is a myth. A diamond will of course scratch glass but so will other glass.

Take it to a jeweler with a diamond tester, try not to let it leave your sight though.

The problem with diamonds is that other than the heat signature of diamonds their characteristics can be shared with other gems.

There are not just diamonds and CZ, there are diamonds, cz, glass, quartz, white sapphires, Moissanite, White Topaz, etc.

Some of these will scratch glass, some won't. Some are found with inclusions normally, some aren't.

Unless you have years of experience, its quite hard to tell those stones apart.

Personally, I wouldn't get your hopes up since a lot of things will scratch glass that look like diamonds, but aren't diamonds.

Thanks for the advice Generic Lad. Yeah im not too worried about it, whatever happens happens, I still found the silver I was after either way :)

That's an Australian 20 cent coin - 75% copper, 25% nickel. Cool find! I've got a 1970 Australian proof booklet (1, 2, 5, 10, 20, and 50 cent pieces).

Ahhh yeah, man thats a big coin for only 20 cents :P it weighs almost as much as a half dollar, its not as wide of a coin, but it is thicker than a half.

CC-Hunter, maybe try not to think about it? lol I dont know... If not for reading a few posts here and there within the past 2 weeks, I would have not kept it myself, as I search primarily for silver.
