Hi there BayWalker I see your posts on the Beach forum, you do some serious hunting.
Quoddy Bay it's on our hit list but we haven't been there yet. We are a little more north then that, up in Nova Scotia.

Thanks Wrecker, you might recognize the small white and blue jug in the pix with the letters GR on it. These were made in Germany by Westerwald during the 18th and 19th century and can fetch up to $4000 for a good one. It's worth allot more then the gold soveriegns we have been picking up.

Wow Dave...those are impressive...what is the GR bottle?

These were small condiment jars made in Germany for the British market. The GR stands for Georgius Rex (King George). During the Colonial era many were shipped to North America and put in nice little hiding spots for Dave and his buddies to discover 300 years later.
