This week's haul (5/30)
I visited two banks on Wed and only managed to pick up $36.50 in CWR of dimes, nickels, and pennies. Of those 760 coins, I found a wheat penny, a dime mixed in with the pennies, and a '43S war nickel. I admit I got lucky finding the war nickel, but I wanted more. So over the next two days I visited twelve banks, hunting for halves. I bought a little over $130 and found a single 40% '65. At least it wasn't a bust. But when I was doing my dump at the bank, the women ahead of me using the counter was throwing the same coin in over and over as it spit out again and again. I asked to see it and it was a '64D Washington. I told her it was silver and the machine is programmed to reject it. She gave me a puzzled look so I offered to swap it for a clad quarter which she happily accepted. One more to add to the pile and I barely had to look for it.
