I've been hunting this site for about 6 weeks now and have put in at least 20 hours of hunt time.
I think this site is just about played out . . . for this year anyway!

The site has very good to me, here are the totals . . .

4 - Silver coins (1907 & 1949 quarters, 1917 & 1945 dimes)
2 - LC pennies (1882 & 1917)
12+ pre1950 pennies
2 - Silverplated spoons (1890 & 1930)
2 - Early junk rings
1 - Chrome plated bus drivers badge
2 - Knives
1 - Lead piggy toy
1 - Bullet

I even had the pleasure of a visit by the Durham Regional Police! :icon_thumright: They stopped by to say hello and inspect some bones I found in a bucket buried in the woods behind where the school stood. Thankfully the bones turned out to be pig bones! ::)

Here's what I found today, nothing too interesting except for maybe the American flag button and the bullet! :laughing7:

Happy hunting all and thanks for looking! :icon_thumright:
Dave

PS. The Alligator brooch I found at my daughter's school yesterday.

I hate to hear you say last hunt there Dave ! Considering all the nice finds you made from there I would give it a go there in the hot spots just as the frost is pushing up in very early spring. This is the best condition to hunt on an old site besides the plow ! Good post ! :icon_sunny: MaineRelic

Looks like you did well at that old school. Some nice finds.
I found 3 bullets myself, today.....plus one unexploded artillery shell.....scared the dickens out of me. (I hunt in S.Korea.)
First one of those things I have ever found. And, I was banging into the ground with my digging tool.....
Glad that thing never went "bang." That would have ruined the day.
Do you have another site lined up, to begin hunting? Good luck....Happy THing.
