REALLY UNUSUAL!

I was thinking maybe brass? Too smooth for Iron Pyrite.

A dore (not dory) bar as defined has a high percent of gold mixed with small amounts of silver copper and other metals. The gold content is usually about 80% but can be less. They are usually made by melting unrefined gold and pouring into a mold.

A simple google image search for dore bar will help?

What you have there is probably slag. There is slag for sale on ebay.
