Too nice a day to sit at home, so I took a shot at the grassy parking lot of a local park where the annual fireworks are held. Found $6.25 in clad, including the ever-elusive clad Half. (also a screw-on gold plated rosette).

Nothing amazing... but a nice few hours.

Now, ya gotta admit. Sure, it wasn't the gold/silver/ancient copper etc. But, hunting clad in a place where it gets replenished can be fun, can't it. :)

Good job getting out!

Grassy area at Oregon Ridge.

Must be 40 acres of it... I covered maybe 1/2 acre.

(and there's a very old building foundation in the woods up on the ski slope I have my eye on)

Good to hear from you, Gary.

OWK Clad pays the bills! Wherever there is an abundance of clad, there will be jewelry. Finding that half dollar indicates you got there first! Best of luck, scour that place well. Sub 8-)

Congrats on a great cladfest. I still enjoy a fruitful clad hunt and love a site that is infested with coin targets. When the permission sites stop producing and new permissions are yet to be granted, I have a go-to-spot to fill my nail apron with coins.

Sub, do you find this to be accurate? I've got access to a place that seems to have been neglected for a LONG time. Seems like there is a ton of clad.

Good to hear from you, Gary.

Know it well. Been there too in my travels. Also, the pond & the beach.
Even tried the new construction site.

I've been here all along. ;)
