Had a great day hunting with Tombac back at the two hundred acre farm. The farmer came out with an assortment of homemade cookies and the best peanut brittle I ever had. His wife is quite a goodies maker. I will make sure to hunt near the farm house every time I go. We moved to a sweet spot in the field and it was non stop. Between the lead, good targets, and crappola, many holes were dug. Tombac found a beautiful silver pocket knife, and two of the three Trimes along with a handful of smalls. The navy button is a sixteen star 23mm. I could not find the same version with the wide open mouth and the appropriate backmark. Two coppers, four large cents and two half cents, one flying eagle penny, three Indian head, a buffalo nickel, and a 1856 Trime were the coins I dug. The suspender has a date of 1876 and depicts maybe a horse track or a fair of some kind. Pulled three blowhole buttons, three tombacs, and an assortment of flats, decorative, and ball buttons.

Thanks Don, the farmer just informed us of a well and a grist mill on the edge of the property. Should get very interesting the next time out... Hope there's more eats to.

Thanks Argentium, We have barely covered but a few of the two hundred acres. The cone shaped silver cone could have been a decoration for horse related item, or even possibly a button. It was backed but looks as though the backing got torn out.

That is a ton of finds! Congrats!

You guys made some really nice finds! And to be feed by the landowners is just icing on the cake, Congrats!!!

About as good as it gets to MD addicts. As good a hunt as I have seen posted on Tnet in a long time (US anyway). Congrats :icon_thumleft:

Wow, you had quite the day didn't you. You don't get too many hunts like that in a lifetime and I bet you will remember that dig until the day you die.:hello2:
Congrats,
