Aren't these the silver rounds that are marked as 1/2 troy lb (6 troy ounces) but are actually 8 troy ounces? If so, you got a heck of a deal. 1/2 of a regular pound is supposed to be 7.29 troy ounces so the marking on these is supposed to be wrong no matter how you look at it. If this isn't one of those rounds then you still did ok.

I'd definitely be sure to weigh it if you haven't already. You appear to have paid spot times 6 troy ounces so if it weighs more than that then you came out ahead.

It appears to be a six ounce version - but wouldn't it have some kind of numismatic value? I don't know anything about these - never saw one before - just googled 1/2lb fine silver 2007 walking liberty color round. Can't find one for sale. Maybe it's a rare item.

The bullion weight is 6.51 oz. The jewerly is all sterling except the gold nuggets in the earrings. They were $12 and the flower is gold filled. Plus there were some more sterling rings not pictured. Spent $223 on everything. I'm happy!

You either have no competition in your area or you hit them at the right time. Anything precious metal or even designer signed costume, gets snatched up the minute it hits the case around here. There are people who loiter for hours at the thrifts. So much so that at one Goodwill, they called the cops and had a group of them escorted out of the building.

Good will never sell any jeweler here anymore. Everything goes online. Not single thing. However the other thrift stores always have designer stuff down here for now. That may change in the future but as for right now stuff is sitting in cases for weeks before gets bought up. In fact I just bought a bracelet for 50, sold for 230 because it was designer signed.

This is exactly what I was thinking. Finding even a single item you posted at one of my area thrifts is just unheard of...

Congrats, you are lucky!

Alot of it may be that it is season here. Alot of people from out of town and alot more donations. Some of the places have eBay fliers from what another item like it was listed for wayyyyyyy over priced. That stuff makes me upset. For instance, one place had 4 sterling thimbles, $28 each. And a sterling pendant for $45 with a flier of an unsold item that wasn't the same. Those stores annoy me!!

isabella1, you have a great eye and always score such unique items! I really enjoy seeing all your finds!!!

Aw, thank you. To be honest what has helped alot is we usually pray before going out and give back to the church a % of what we make on our sales. It's been an awesome ride in such a short time! A coworker was into antique jewelry and I learned alot from her also. Sometimes it's a bust though. But there will be those days.

Isabella,

I want you to get out and hammer the daylights out of those thrift stores since you are doing so well.

I don't know how long you've been buying and selling, but let me tell you, this won't last forever. Ride this wave as hard as you can, don't tell a soul in your area about it, and flip this stuff like there is no tomorrow. Enjoy it while it lasts!!!!!
