My vision isn't what it used to be. When I first looked at the title of the post, I almost had a heart attack :tongue3: :tongue3: :tongue3:

The coin was only about 3 inches down but the ticks were on the surface

At first I thought it was a big washer and when I pulled it out I was so surprised I just stared in disbelief, then it hit me

The ticks were those little tiny ones that make you ask, "Is that a new freckle?"

Thank goodness my cats are so generous with their flea and tick shampoo

no need to ask if it was worth it! mom always made us bathe in a strong vinegar bath for seed ticks. seemed to work. now I practically bathe in Deet. I realy should buy stock in it.

WTG Peachy. Congrats on the first. I hate ticks. I always have the creepy feeling they are still on me days after they are gone.

I'll Deet up & hunt, but if I see the ground crawling with them or even just one on me, I'm outta there until they're gone! :o (meow!)

We have flea problems here this year. First time in years. The vet said it was the very wet spring and the very hot summer causing it. He has had a lot of dogs in that were just eaten up. My poor little Digsy had a few on her for the first time ever and she didn't know what to do! I sprayed the yard twice and put a new flea collar on her and that stuff that goes on their backs and now I dist her with 5% Seven once a week and she hasn't had but a few more since. So far none in the house. But I really haven't been out in the woods this summer and that's where the ticks are found. Oh, and the mosquitos are horrible this year. I get a couple of bites just going out to pick up the newspaper out of the yard. Oh, congrats on the half by the way! Monty
